A Voice From Another Era Shocked the AGT Judges
(Watch the video at the very bottom)
Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. walked onto the America’s Got Talent stage as the auditions were winding down. At 36 years old, he introduced himself as a car washer from West Virginia.
With dreadlocks, casual clothes, and gum in his mouth, he didn’t look like someone about to change his life. He joked around and did impressions, instantly lowering the judges’ expectations.
He shared that for over ten years, his life had been spent scrubbing tires and working around soap bubbles. Deep down, he dreamed of singing for the world.
Then the music began.
As soon as Landau sang the first line of “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” the room went silent. His voice was smooth, controlled, and eerily familiar.
It sounded like Frank Sinatra had stepped back onto the stage.
Piers Morgan stared in disbelief and even asked if Landau was miming to a recording. The resemblance was that shocking.
Each note carried confidence, class, and natural swing. It was a pure jazz performance, delivered effortlessly.
The judges quickly realized they were witnessing raw, god given talent.
Piers admitted he expected a complete disaster based on the introduction, but instead felt blown away. Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel echoed the same disbelief.
They told him his life would never be the same after this moment.
With three yes votes and a ticket to Las Vegas, Landau proved that greatness can come from the most unexpected places.
Sometimes, legends are hiding in plain sight.
